On the 2nd of October we celebrated, the feast of Claude Poullart des Places, the First Founder of the Congregation of The Holy Ghost Fathers (SPIRITANS).
Mahatma Gandhi once said “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself.” This statement captures the impact of the life of Claude Poullart des Places. What he started has not only changed entire cultures through evangelization but has thought big and responded boldly to a range of issues like education, health care, parish work, development projects and refugee ministry. The Congregation of the Holy Ghost has articulated and given visibility to development in more than 60 countries around the globe. And here we are today to celebrate a life well lived.
As we are commemorated the 305th Death Anniversary of Claude Francois Poullart des Places, we also witnessed and celebrated the Cassock day of our Diocesan brothers, from the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam and Diocese of Kondoa, who were officially vested today.
